Submitting a consultation request does not create a client relationship or require you to purchase any service.

7.CRM and communication

Information you send us may be kept in the systems we use to manage enquiries and client relationships, for example to record communication, schedule follow-up, manage consultation bookings and keep contact history.

This policy will name specific CRM or scheduling providers once they are connected to the website.

8.Analytics and advertising

straightscale.com uses Meta Pixel, a tool provided by Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It loads when you open the website.

Meta Pixel tells Meta which pages of the website you visited, and when you send our consultation form. We use this to measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform and to show our ads to people who may be interested.

We do not send Meta your name, email address, phone number or the answers you write in our form. Meta may connect this activity to your Facebook or Instagram account if you are logged in, under Meta's own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy).

You can limit ads based on this activity in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.

Our private admin area does not load Meta Pixel.

9.Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Websites can use them in several ways:

  • Essential cookies: necessary for the website to work.
  • Analytics cookies: help understand website usage.
  • Marketing cookies: help measure advertising performance.
  • Preference cookies: remember your choices.

straightscale.com uses essential storage for the website to work. Marketing cookies set by Meta Pixel (for example the _fbp cookie) are used to measure our advertising, but only if you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner.

When you first visit, a banner asks you to choose "Accept" or "Only necessary". Until you accept, the Meta Pixel and any other analytics or marketing scripts do not load. We remember your choice for 6 months in a small essential cookie (cookie_consent).

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Refusing cookies will not stop you from using the website or booking a consultation.

10.Who we share information with

We may share personal information with service providers that help us run the website and business, such as:

  • website hosting and cloud infrastructure providers
  • email providers
  • CRM and scheduling providers, once used
  • professional advisers

We do not sell personal information. Service providers only receive the information they need to perform their function, subject to appropriate safeguards.

11.International data transfers

StraightScale is based in the United States, and some technology providers may process or store information in the United States or other countries.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, StraightScale uses the appropriate safeguards required under applicable data protection law.

Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and relationship.

13.Data security

StraightScale uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, unauthorised disclosure, loss, alteration and misuse.

No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Service-related communication may still be sent where necessary.

17.Children
